Beautiful, deep sounding J-50 Deluxe. Serial number 681 846 placing the date of manufacture between either 1970-72 or 74-76. The bridge is flush with the body. Some hairline cracks on the top. There is a slight depression of the top in the pick guard area. No impact to playability, action or intonation.

Hi, all, I have been trying to locate information on a Gibson J50 (specifically the year of prodiction) based on the serial number and, as you. The serial number is consistent with a model made in Nashville in 1994. In 1994, Gibson’s Centennial year, many instruments have a serial number that begins with “94” for the year, with the remaining 6 digits indicating the ranking number over the entire year’s production.
